Eden Exit designs and develops branding strategies for the launch or consolidation of products or services. We include all the aspects of communication (packaging included) into a single plan that aims at reaching the market goals.
Irrespective of the advertising investments undertaken, for a product brand to be remembered easily by the market, it must meet three key characteristics:
- simplicity; the simplest logos are the ones that last the longest and are remembered the best (except for particular areas in which complexity and heraldic elements are part of the tradition);
- strong characterization (logos must be distinguished not only from those of the competition but also from all other logos on the market);
- relevance to the product and name, where possible (if the product has elements in its name that can be translated visually or references to objects, places or particular colours, these should be used to strengthen the connection between the name and logo).
The future of packaging is very minimalist and highly recognisable. For some years, the Sustainable Packaging Coalition has defined the main aspects of sustainable packing as:
- being safe and healthy for people and society throughout its life-cycle;
- respecting the market's criteria in terms of characteristics and costs;
- having primary materials, production processes, transport and recycling based on renewable energy;
- maximizing the use of recycled primary materials;
- being produced with clean technology and safe materials;
- being designed to optimise materials and energy.
Packaging that is well-designed, original and in keeping with advertising requirements, ecologically-respectful and easily separable, contributes decisively to the product's success.
